My role is Project Coordinator. Each day is a bit different for me. It usually consists of client communication, scheduling, managing logistics and acting as a liaison between clients, designers, and vendors.
I actually fell into it! I was a preschool teacher for 10 years and reached a point where I was ready for a change. I’ve always enjoyed project planning and working closely with people, so when the opportunity came up to work at Kitchen Cove, it felt like a natural fit—and I’ve really enjoyed growing into the role.
I love building trust, helping them make confident decisions, and watching their excitement grow as everything comes together. It's a mix of creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving, and no two projects are ever the same.
My design style is earthy, comfortable and neutral.
The layout and workflow of the kitchen deserves extra attention.
One memorable project involved a client who had experienced a fire in their kitchen. It was a challenging situation because they needed not only a beautiful new space but also a fast, smooth rebuild during a difficult time. Coordinating with insurance, suppliers, and contractors was critical to help them get back to normal as quickly as possible. Being part of that process and helping restore their home was very rewarding.
A go-to feature I think is worth recommending is placing the kitchen sink in the island instead of under the window when the space allows. It keeps the person working at the sink engaged with the rest of the room, making it easier to interact with family or guests. Whether you're helping kids with homework, chatting with guests, or entertaining, it creates a more social and connected space.
While I’m not a designer, I find it inspiring to see how a vision comes together piece by piece. I'm motivated by the challenge of coordinating all the moving parts to make sure the creative vision becomes a reality. It’s really rewarding to play a key role in bringing a space to life smoothly and successfully.
Outside of work, I love spending as much time as possible with my family, my husband, and our dog on Great Diamond Island.
