A comfortably formal and sleek kitchen update checked all of the boxes for a Chicago-based couple in Prouts Neck, Maine. An addition off of the back of the home extends the kitchen space while a fresh design perspective gave life to an inviting seating area just off of the main kitchen. From here the family has ease of access to their outdoor kitchen space where an annual clam bake that hosts up to 40 people takes place during the summer months. Creamy white cabinets by Rutt Cabinetry mixed with a flat iron gray stain over walnut gives this family the sophistication they desired while keeping the cottage casual enough to blend with their seacoast landscape.
